Hi everyone! I After an assignment in my costume construction class using only recycled materials, I discovered how much I love re-purposing old, seemingly unusable items into something new and fun!
I kept having all these ideas crop up in my mind about things I could make, or I'd see something on a shelf in an antique store, and have a vision of what I could make it into, so I decided to start this little summer project/side business. I present to you Triple R Designs. The title ties in the concept of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Everything that I make and sell will be made from recycled things, at least as much as possible.
Things are still in the conceptual stage, so I don't have a logo or any products as of yet, but rest assured that as I create them I'll post about it on here. I'm hoping to get a booth at the Farmer's Market when that starts up, and see if I can't participate in the First Friday Art Walk in Old Town.
As far as what I'll be making, I think my emphasis will be on accessories such as hats and bags, but if inspiration for other little trinkets strikes, I wouldn't turn a blind eye to it.
